NGR Season 34 Episode 4: Musicians Starting with the Letter “D”

Hey guys. What's up? How's it going? Umm, what day is this Friday? I've been off work for a while, recovering from surgery and I am just one day at a time right now. But man, I have had some things thrown at me as far as radio goes and it's been a little bit stressful but. We're still making it happen. I am doing the broadcast 100% completely from my phone right now and that is something I have never done. I usually do it with my computer and the phone and I'm having some computer issues right now. I can't get the computer up and running. It keeps. Uh. Locking up at the. The main screen, like when you're trying to get it started. Umm, so I'm thought I would give this a try. And see if we can't make it work. I think we can.

Um, they've also had some other things with moving around of distribution of all the podcast platforms and things with the radio. We were with Spreaker and that is no longer happening. So I had they had been helping me with distribution. We parted ways and now I have gotten some help with some more distribution. So we are actually on there's a couple of networks that we're not on right now that we were, but that doesn't mean that we won't be again, I just have to go to those companies directly. Umm, we are on Pandora radio now, which we weren't before, so that's pretty cool. But I do have a long list websites that you can still listen to us on. We're still on like Apple podcast and iHeartRadio Google podcast. Umm, and a whole bunch of others. Spotify currently. Umm, which we were on before, but just some moving around with things. Um. So I've been working on dealing with a lot of those type of things, getting a lot of the radio shows. I've been uploading directly to the website so I don't have to rely on other websites or hosting. Umm, that's something I could have been doing, I've just chosen to have. The podcast hosted in other ways. I was looking into a podcast. Umm. Some podcast solutions potentially for the website which would allow other people to podcast. From. The website, but I don't know if I want to get into that quite yet.

I have been having this show on blog talk radio for quite a few years and I've been pretty happy with blog talk radio. It's just nice that like for example right now I. I'm very happy to find out that I can broadcast this from my phone. Umm, there's a lot of times where I've had. Issues with the Internet on the computer and you know, it was. I was glad to have both. So I mean I could see where there could be positives and negatives, like if I'm having phone issues. Obviously this might not be the best option. But umm. Let's see. I think it's working for now, so I'm going to go ahead and get you guys some music going. It might bear with me because I have a tiny screen to work with, so some of the stuff might take me a minute to figure out, but I've got new music for you this week by Marsten Catlo. Sorry about that. Saying, I have a lot of music coming up for you. We're doing musicians, starting with the letter D today. I do have some more new music for you though, and I'm going to go ahead and play one more song for you and then we will be back in just a little bit. With those letter D musicians, so stay tuned for that. Let's see, I am working on the phone for the first time doing this show, so bear with me. It's a little bit different than I'm used to. Umm.
