I didn’t know the hood could open like that. My dad used to have a corvette and I’m pretty sure the hood opened normal.. but it was so long ago now that it is hard to remember for sure.

All of the older Corvette hoods open up like this. The C8 is a rear-engine car, which surprised me. The Chevy Corvair and VW Bug are as well.

The Corvette I inherited from my grandparents came home today 🥹 I made a promise to my grandfather on his deathbed that I would have it running one day. She’s been gone for 2.5 months while repairs were being done. She made the maiden voyage from my Hometown of Niles to Kalamazoo. I have her registered for a show this weekend.
