The NGR website is very expensive to operate. A lot of the cool features cost money to maintain. If anyone wants to donate to help keep things running nicely it would be greatly appreciated. This month I’ve got to pay for the domain name renewal which is $150 aside from the regular monthly expenses.

October we will be required to upgrade our server. I am excited about that because the site will move much MUCH faster… the slow page load times (when they happen) is because NGR has grown too big for the current shared server. We will be moving to a private server, but it is expensive as well. It will be $500 for the upgrade for the first year and then $1200 a year after that. There are all kinds of other upgrades needed to keep things running smoothly.

One thing that would be nice but isn’t completely necessary would be to upgrade our private messaging system again. It was so much nicer before because you didn’t have to open a whole new page to message back and forth with people. The upgrade for the chat is $120 per year. This also includes the ability to do video/ audio in private messages and also in the group chats.

These are just a few things on the list of expenses for the website. There are so many more, but these are the three that have been heavy on my mind.
