I am currently watching “Back to Black”(2024). I saw this in the theater, and it just made it to Amazon Prime, so I’m rewatching it. It’s truly a great film, and it makes me wonder how far Amy would have gone if she hadn’t met Blake, who fueled her addiction. I remember when Amy was alive. I was an angsty teenager who really didn’t care for her…Read More

That’s awesome. My grandparent’s house has a gas fireplace that my great-grandpa built by hand that has rocks in it. It looks like a rock climbing wall (lol). I did climb up it once when I was a kid. I plan on getting it back running when I get the other work on the house completed.

Yes, very funk history, gives a brief history of the funk movement coming out of Ohio, with Dayton, Ohio being the Funk capital with some of the most legendary funk groups coming out of Ohio. Unsung Ohio Players documentary is good also, how did you like the Ohio Players documentary I also posted ?

@jessica080806 I am glad you found this mini documentary Dayton, Ohio : The Land Of Funk interesting, brings some brief history of Ohio Funk and Dayton, Ohio being considered the Funk Capital in music. I think @litavondoom may find this also interesting as well.

I listen to mainly rock and horror rap, but I am interested in Dayton’s rich music history. Also, it is a 4-hour drive from here. I went through Dayton on my last tour. I have friends in Dayton too Also, I love Zapp and Roger! If my Corvette could talk, it would probably sound like the computerized voice in the song “Computer Love”.

This is one of the artists mentioned in the mini documentary, Zapp. This song was so ahead of it’s time…It’s like the whole time we knew that we would be looking for love on our computers..
