Lenax – US Black Metal with Cosmic Horror Themes
Lenax is a fierce US black metal band (originally a solo project by guitarist/vocalist Venomous, formed in November 2022) blending aggressive and melodic elements of old-school black metal with cosmic horror themes. Now expanded to a full lineup (including Silence on guitar/bass and Profana on drums), Lenax draws from Lovecraftian inspiration for conceptual storytelling—exploring primal freedom, war metaphors, and occult depths.
Their debut EP Purity (self-released 2023) features standout tracks like “Inner Dimension”, “Inversion”, “Shrouded Sight”, “Beneath the Chapel”, and “Of Greater Forces”—praised for brutal riffage, melodic hooks, and spiritual brutality. A symphonic version of “Beneath the Chapel” (2024) adds orchestral layers to their intense sound.
